Portland Velo Race Team
We feel the need...for speed. And thus the Portland Velo Race Team was born. In our 2007 inaugural season, the team exceeded expecations, from the standpoint of overall results - 57 podium placings, 20 victories, and 4 state titles - as well as the amazingly cohesive, organized and fun group of individuals that make up the team. In the 2008 season we are fifty-five riders strong, covering the majority of racing categories and disciplines. When we're not riding, we’re riffin' on racing in our race team forum.

Notes From Our Directeur Sportif

SITTIN' PRETTY

Half way through the road season and we are currently ranked 3rd out of 81 teams in the state.  Similar to a road race, we don't necessarily want to be sitting at the very front of the pack pulling up the rest of the peleton to be passed at the end.  Right now we are sitting in a good position knowing that we have an extra gear to excel when required.  That special gear or 11 tooth cog for us is Cyclocross.  Not only do we sport the biggest cross team in Oregon, we have the talent to match.  Watch for PV to move up through the ranks, we're coming through!
