Portland Velo Race Team

About The Portland Velo Race Team

Welcome to Portland’s hottest new race team.  In our inaugural season Portland Velo more than exceeded any expectations.  With 57 podium placings, 20 victories, and 4 state titles, Portland Velo finished in the top 25% of all teams in the state.

It’s pretty cool how this team was formed.  We started out with a handful of riders, hammering each other every Saturday morning and laughing about it afterwards at our favorite coffee shop.  This weekly barbaric ritual went on for a couple of years before we finally decided to start our own team so we could share our passion for pain with others.  Today we are fifty-five riders strong covering the majority of racing categories and disciplines.  When we're not riding, we’re talking about it several times a day through our race team forum.  It’s here we communicate race results, impromptu rides, or if you’re feeling kind of feisty, you can talk some smack.

With some new additions to the roster, watch out for Portland Velo to be one of the top teams in the state of Oregon in 2008.
