    Simplify the web site

Am I the only person who finds this website overly complex? I don't need all of the pop-ups and clever stuff — plain HTML suits me fine. After finding that no one (including the "leaders") had a map of the route in our group on Saturday, I wondered how easy it would have been to download the map from the web site. I counted 9 clicks: 2 clicks to login, then pull a menu and 1 click to go to the "rides and Events" calendar. 1 click to go to May, scroll and one click to go to the Saturday ride, click on "ride map", but that doesn't display the ride map, it displays a page to download the ride map, (one more click) which I then have to locate in the downloads window and open (double-click). It was actually worse than that, because first of all I clicked on directions, and only after I had been puzzling over the result, did I realize that this meant directions to Longbottom's, not directions for the ride. Lynne tells me that she can do it all in two clicks, but that sort or underscores my point: it's all too complicated, and the easy routes are all hidden.

    1. Login to the home page

    2. LH middle of the page is "today's ride". The hot link to the Saturday Sig ride is posted below by Thursday of every week. Click on posted ride and click on download button.

    3. Print.

Shame on your ride leader. Maps were handed out Saturday morning. I shouted "MAPS" loud & clear. There were copies left over.

Not always true.  It's Friday at 8:30am, and there is only a TGIF ride on the left of the Home page.  No Saturday ride is listed.  And no indication of whether or not the map on the calendar is correct or not, especially Matt's posting about "a special route put together".

Maybe you were not logged on? Login then the Home page displays the Sat. 21st route link on the left side; Hagg Lake. It was there yesterday and is there now.

As Dan stated, you probably weren't logged in.  The map was updated with the front page as of 11pm Wednesday night.

I should also point out that even if you ARE logged in, maps are not available unless you are a current, paid member.

However, Mike is a current, paid member, so it is likely that he was not logged in...
