    Bridge Pedal Schedule for PV

    Howdy Guys-

Here's what we're looking at for the Bridge Pedal...

    Date:  Sunday, August 10th, 2008

    Start Time:  6:15-6:30 AM

    End Time:   11:15-11:30

Where: US Bank in St. Johns

                 7340 N Philadelphia Ave,

What Section of the Route?:  St. Johns,Willamette Drive, through Greeley (Swan Island)

    What We'll Be Doing:

    • Setting Up Baracades and Cones for the Route.
    • Directing Motor Vehicle Traffic and Cyclist Traffic.
    • Removing Baracdes and Cones (and placing them back where you found them).

How this is Going to Happen:

    •  We will have a bus accross from the US Bank we will load everyone in and drop off in sequential order (Locations will be assigned prior to the 10th).
    • You will receive a binder with instructions of how to setup your location, where to direct traffic, emergency procedures and phone numbers will also be listed. I'll have these binders for you prior to loading on the bus.
    • The bus will follow the last rider through and pick everyone up and return back to US Bank.

If there are more questions, please post them!  Thanks in advance for your help and in supporting our club.

Big John, I would like to put in a request for the area at the corner of Killingsworth and Willamette if that's possible. My friend lives there and she would probably be able to help out. At least for potty breaks. If at all possible I would appreciate it. Thanks. Linda Rennie

Are reflective vests or something very visible being provided?

Are restrooms near the volunteer locations?

There will be bright Yello T-Shirts provided...I'll have them that morning for you.

Regarding facilities, there will be a roaming area manager (Me.. ;) ) that will be riding up and down our area to give you quick breaks along the way.

Re: Bridge Pedal Schedule for PV

Just became a PV member and would love the opportunity to get my feet wet with the club by helping out at Bridge Pedal. BTW, saw an earlier post asking about PV gear and would love to get my hands on jersey's and shorts. Didn't see either at the online store?? Will buy sweatshirt and Tshirt to sport at Bridge Pedal, just curious about the jersey/shorts. Thanks

Looking forward to meeting some of ya'll at the next Saturday ride heading out from Longbottom's.

John - I'm planning on riding my bike to the meet spot - any idea if there's is decent place to lock your bike near US Bank in St Johns?

    John -

Gregg Magnus and I both want to volunteer, and like Paul, are also thinking of riding down and wondering about secure spots for bikes.  I'll send you a separate email.

    Thanks,

    Brion
