    http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/PV-Bethany-Rock-Creek-Logie-Trail

If interested, here is the route in more detail, leaving from WAMU on Bethany. Click "Show" in upper left corner to see exact elevation.

I also would like to depart out of LB and ride something more gently paced and flatter.

BTW, I would be more than happy to create and/or transfer typical PV routes over to bikely.com and upload them to be stored somewhere on our website. It is a pretty cool site that I use almost exclusively when plotting a ride. Once a route is complete, key intersections, dangers, etc. can be noted, a cue sheet is automatically created and best of all (for me) is the elevation map.

Here are some of my examples: http://www.bikely.com/my_routes

Most do not include the "point" detail that can be included for the PV routes. When the map opens you can mouse scroll down for a closer look, note the point section in the route box on the left. Click on "first point" to position you at the start, then click "next point" to move through the route and read inserted comments along the way. "Show" reveals entire route, elevation and cue sheet.

FYI, access to and use of the PV maps database is a paid-membership benefit.

Excellent! I was just offering to re-create these maps via bikely.com in my spare time, wasn't sure what program or tool PV currently uses to plot these routes. Bikely is a an awesome database tool for this. BTW, where on our site are the maps stored and viewable? I can't seem to locate that tab?? Thanks Lynne

Hey folks, as Ty has so eloquently stated in numerous posts, it would be great to keep threads "clean" without muddying up what someone is trying to plan.

Right now on this one thread I started there are 3 different rides discussed for tonight.  Kinda makes it a bit confusing.  Thanks.

As for tonight's "17-19mph easy" ride:

We'll try to roll from Longbottoms at 5:45 with 6pm the definitive roll out.  If you think you'll be there please confirm so we know who to expect and what time.  That way we won't roll without you.  I realize a couple folks are driving from downtown Portland to ride and that drive at that time of day can be tough.

    I'll arrive Longbottoms at 5:30.

Thanks everyone and perhaps we can work on getting a Wednesday "set" together: one week hills/next week easy or rolling.

All the sudden it seems the sun is disappearing faster and faster so an earlier start leads to a safer finish.

Who is driving from Portland?  I'm thinking of riding my bike to LBs for this and would like a get ride back to Portland with someone.  What are the chances?

    What rain?

I'll be there, provided an afternoon meeting ends on time.  Sasha, I am driving from Portland, but I live in Hillsboro, so won't be driving back this way tonight, sorry. Otherwise I'd gladly offer a ride!

Thanks, KRhea - see you at LB's.

Thanks for a fun ride this evening folks.  Perhaps we can make this a weekly "event".  Good to see you back on the bike John.

Echo what KRhea said. Not sure if I can make it weekly as I have a class switching from Mon. to Wed. nights. :(

I won't be able to. Hope the rain holds off for those who do ride.

Brian, do you have pictures from Saturday available for sharing?  linda@portlandvelo.net
