Just an inquiry to see if anyone happened to witness a bike spill on Saturday, September 20th on the East Bank Esplanade  sidewalk near the Hawthorne Bridge? Would have been around 4 pm or so.

A middle-aged friend of mine went down hard while riding alone with some minor injuries. All is fine, but my friend can't remember what actually happened - I think that's more painful than the actual injuries. No idea if he zoned out, or if there was some other medical problem going on at the time.

May have been a bike-on-bike mix-up or possibly a runner getting caught on the edge of the handlebar??? My friend called from the hospital ER around 4:45 pm and may not have been fully conscious when picked up by the ambulance guys. Witnesses called 911, but there is no info about what happened. 

Just checking with the community.
