First Saturday Ride - Lacamas Lake - February 2nd

Get ready to head north on February  2nd up to Lacmas Lake.  Origin will be New Seasons Market on NE 33rd.  It will be scenic and fun!

More details to be posted shortly.

    John,

I help lead the Sunday rides out of New Seasons and also go on Doug's Tuesday & Thursday rides, and I'm not sure there is enough parking there, especially if it turns out to be a nicer day and lots of people show. We've had as many as 20 or so on the regular rides, and that seems to be the upper limit for that location. Those that drive generally park along NE 34th Avenue and stay out of the New Seasons/Walgreens parking lot. NE 34th is pretty narrow and we have to remind riders to stay out of the street so as not to block traffic. Another place where there is a lot more parking and less congestion is along the north side of Wilshire Park on NE Skidmore just east of NE 33rd Avenue. The problem with this location is I think the Portland Wheelmen have a regular Saturday morning ride that leaves from there.

Anyway, I thought I'd at least mention the possible congestion at New Seasons.

     Mr. Mark-

Thanks for the heads up.  We'll advise on the home page and here in the forums of the parking situation.  With regards to the Wheelmen having their ride, I don't see any problems for us and our ride heading northbound.  An invite has been extended to the Vancouver Bicycle Club if they wish to join us as well.

    Thanks again Mark.
