    Suggestion - extending May10th ride

Any thought to extending the route for our Sat ride?

Is there a point where the Sat series rides begin to break the "40 mile" mark and we begin to hit 55-65 miles for building endurance?

My thought is to include Springhill Rd to Gaston- then head to the store near Hagg Lake (old Hwy 47/ via Patton Valley Rd). We could easily come back through Forest Grove to Maggies via Dilley (Dilley Rd and Stringtown) or circle back on the orignal route via Springhill again (though this means crossing 47 2x).

I like this suggestion in general.   The call at Sat morning start could be for: "19-long".  Also gives us another way to subdivide the bigger groups.

I've passed this feedback on to Jim.   I don't know if the posted map will change or not, but if groups want to do some extra mileage please make sure you as ride leaders get that communicated to groups before you roll out and before you go off map. :)

Who's planning on being available for Ride Leaders on Saturday?  I will most likely not be there at the send off as we are doing a Team Time Trial practice that day.

KRhea in 'da house Sat morning Matt.

Also, I'd be interested in setting up a once a month "longer ride" group if that's possible.  Mileage would be 50 to 65 or 70 maybe and perhaps even a 30minute earlier start time so folks could get back home to their families fairly early.  Or we'd just tag the extra mileage on to whatever course is the designated Saturday course.

I've mentioned it to a number of club folks and it seems there's interest.

I will see you guys at the start on Saturday.

In terms of a longer route, it's about time to start implementing the A and B routes so folks have options.

Bryan:  Thanks for offering to lead the A21s.  I am currently suffering from a case of the “Lumbar blues” and so I am  temporarily removing myself from the Ride Leader roster and heading back to yoga class.  Enjoy the ride.

Good point, Jim. With my commute to LB I'll have 52 miles too with the base ride.

Russ, sorry to hear that you have to have off bike time. Hope to see you rolling again soon.
