I'm looking to get regain some endurance as I recover from my injury and would like to do a 4hr easy ride this coming Sunday. I'd love some company. The pace will not exceed 19mph and will most likely hover in the 17mph zone as all I'm doing is getting "saddle time" back into my butt and legs. 15 weeks of sitting on the sofa eating bon bons and watchin' Oprah has taken it's toll not to mention turing 50 during that time.
An early start time will allow us to get back home with plenty of the day left for other holiday weekend activities. I'm currently putting a route together but will probably not finalize it until Friday or Saturday. Tentatively we'd start at Longbottoms and ride up and over Skyline, down and around Sauvie Island and somehow meander our way back to LBs. Perhaps back through NW, up through Wash Park and then down, down, down to LBs. Or out and back up Rocky Point, left on Skyline to Logie, turn right and then the roller coaster ride back down the west side. I'm flexible and not looking for anything killer but I don't really want to do any of the usual west side rides and nice climb or two never hurt anybody.
If you're interested let me know. It'll be a no drop ride, we'll regroup at the top of any serious climbs and we'll stop for some food/drink at the Sauvie Island store.
Ride time could be either 8am-12p or 9am-1p. I'm leaning towards 8.
