saturday rideTHIS WEEK'S SATURDAY RIDE

10/18/14 - The route this week is Over the River and Through the Woods

 (37.7 miles and 995 feet).

I'm sure there are grandmothers' homes along the route, but you might choose to stop at Maggie's for snacks or coffee or to use the facilities.  This week's route heads west to Forest Grove.  The turns south to Carpenter Creek and Plumlee for the one hilly section, before heading back though Forest Grove and Cornelius.  Then its onto Hornecker and Evergreen back to LaCie.   The weather this Saturday looks to be in the 50s and 60s at ride time with the possibility of a brief morning shower or two.  If that is the case, it is time for fenders and buddy flaps.

Do you feel the need for speed? Check out what's happening with Portland Velo Racing Read on...

Portland Velo was founded in February 2006 by a bunch of folks (35 of us, actually) who simply enjoyed riding bikes together. Since then we've grown to over 400 members. Our philosophy is "It's All About The Ride" - join us for a ride and find out why we continue to be Oregon's premier cycling club.
