9/27/14: The route this week is REVERSE HILLSIDE - PUMPKIN RIDGE (53.5 miles, 2,340 feet) The route initially heads west to Verboort, where we head up Visitation, follow Osterman and Kemper, heading to a section of rollers on Hillside and a short stiff climb up to Clapshaw.  We then head east on Clapshaw, Greenville and Harrington before heading across OR 26 on Dersham.  The route then starts climbing again up Pumpkin Ridge - this time all the way to the top of Pumpkin Ridge Rd - turning around at the gravel.  Then it’s a great descent down Pumpking Ridge Rd and heading home via Shadybrook and Jackson School.  The weather for this Saturday looks to be good – partly cloudy to clear with ride temperatures between the mid 50's to mid 60's.

Portland Velo was founded in February 2006 by a bunch of folks (35 of us, actually) who simply enjoyed riding bikes together. Since then we've grown to over 400 members. Our philosophy is "It's All About The Ride" - join us for a ride and find out why we continue to be Oregon's premier cycling club.
