saturday rideTHIS WEEK'S SATURDAY RIDE

8/2/14: The route this week is Tim's Dairy Creek Ramble (50.2 miles, 1,430 feet)The route consists of a big flat loop and a long gentle climb up and back on Dairy Creek Rd.  The loop heads west via Evergreen - Hornecker - Verboot, heads north on Thatcher and KC and then east via Greenville and Wilkesboro-Mountain across OR 26.  Be careful - you are crossing fast moving traffic!  Then it's up and back on a long gentle climb via Dairy Creek Rd.  Lastly it's home via N Plains and Jackson School Rd.  A laid-back ride after last week's stiff hills and before next week's Tour de SAVE metric century to Hagg Lake - enjoy.  Weather is again predicted to be near perfect - clear & sunny during the ride with temps in the mid 60's to mid 70's.

Portland Velo was founded in February 2006 by a bunch of folks (35 of us, actually) who simply enjoyed riding bikes together. Since then we've grown to over 600 members. Our philosophy is "It's All About The Ride" - join us for a ride and find out why we continue to be Oregon's premier cycling club.
